Continuing My E. Portfolio

07/01/2020

Do you know what an E. portfolio is? Do you know someone personally who has one? Maybe you can relate to me. Prior to being enrolled into my current graduate course, I was unfamiliar with E. portfolios and I didn't know anyone personally who owned one. As I explored E. portfolios further, I found them to be great tools that all individuals can utilize to extend their presence in education, personal hobbies, passions, career, or any journey that changes over time. I am led to intentionally share my voice and thoughts with total control. Becoming a digital leader is a learning process which my E. portfolio has the capacity to capture. As I persist through the required course work, I plan to utilize my E. portfolio to reflect and share what I learned and how I learned it. Doing this makes my knowledge and understanding credible. As we all know, leaders need credibility for followers to follow. Credibility builds trust and inspiration.

Because I believe leaders should be knowledgeable of their craft, my E. portfolio will show and communicate my knowledge, skills and projects learned over time.  I like to think of it as expanding my social network. I will be sharing with the world my learning experiences to inform, motivate, and provide personal perspective on current trends and topics in digital education. Knowing why I want to create an E. portfolio has helped me become intentional expanding professional networks that relate to my interest. Although this is the beginning of my E. portfolio journey, I am looking forward to exploring more.
